A powerful depiction of the obscenity of slavery and the beginning of resistance to it, a precursor to the bloodbath of the Civil War that still did not bring about the equality that we struggle to find even today, almost two centuries later.
I pray that some day there will be equality for all, of all colors, genders, sexual identities and nationalities, religions, and ethnic origins.
