Birth of a Nation is one of the best movies of 2016. A riveting, profound, compelling, provocative and unsettling film. A moving retelling of NatTurner's Slave Rebellion that many throughout history has tried to bury.
It's a passion-fueled effort by long-time actor/director Nate Parker, who provides a great voice in getting his incredible vision across; a stunning debut.
