Well-done film, but the story is very controversial. Essentially a KKK-recruitment film as it is based on the book/novel "The Klansman". But, for film historians/academics, this film is a must-see.
Odd that this film is not banned from viewing on TV (TCM), but the "Censored 11" (e.g. the cartoon "Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs" which wasn't intended for children) is banned from TV viewing. I see a double-standard at work here...
