Review of The Birth of a Nation (1915) by Steve M — 07 Sep 2010
While I don't agree with the racial messages as a movie fan I appreciate everything this masterpiece has done for cinema and while many view this as a 1 and done type of film, it actually holds up with multiple viewings for me.
I appreciate Griffith's artistry and innovations and while the story is very pro kkk its an interesting take on the civil war era.
