Review of The Big Trail (1930) by Frédéric I — 05 Feb 2010
An early Wayne picture. The movie suffers from rough dialogue, at times, and has some sequencing issues. The great thing about this movie is the background action. Most scenes have great depth of field and offer a lot of details.
This film was rereleased in a 70 mm widescreen print, despite widescreen not being invented until 1952, which is quite nice.
