(1949) The Big Steal.
THRILLER.
One of few early films directed by film veteran Don Siegal (Dirty Harry, Invasion of the Body Snatchers), which can just be as relevent if it were to be made now, which centers on loot stolen from an US army base with Lt investigator Robert Mitchum as Lt Duke Halliday having to go through Mexico to retrieve it!
Movie cuts to the chase and is never boring, as soon as the star gets off the ship, chasing someone with a new interesting revelation as the film progressses!
Strong.
3 out of 4 stars.
