Review of The Big Sleep (1946) by Tamar C — 11 Jul 2011
This was a fun detective film starring Humphrey Bogart as the private eye Philip Marlowe. He is hired to track down a blackmailer by a General Sternwood. But the case leads to murder and a large suspect list and conspiracy.
Bogart is excellent in his role. He plays the character Marlowe with perfection. The film has some great dialogue. Makes me wish people today talked the way they do in this film. For a old film this still stands up to be a fun and entertaining watch.
Well worth the time to check this out.
