It's very, very rare that I rate a romcom this high, but when it's original, without the cheesy lines, bad humor and forced Hollywood type ending, I'm going to give it praise. Of course the huge reason for this being original is because it's based off of Kumail Nanjiani's real life.
Even though at first it felt sort of like it was going to be a Pakistani version of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, it didn't go that route after all. Kumail's great here, with an amazing supporting cast.
Definitely glad I checked this one out.
