Review of The Big Sick (2017) by Kowal345 — 15 Jul 2017
This is a kind of modern day "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" where the uncomfortable family is Pakistani and the outsider is a white, American co-ed. The humor is a little off-the-wall, and takes some warming up to, but once you're in, you're in deep with the sharp acting and writing.
A feel good movie in these divisive times.
