Review of The Big Short (2015) by Josiah M — 26 Mar 2016
This movie pissed me off; I was thoroughly livid at the idea that its portrayals of life in the first decade of the 20th century were not falsehood or hyperbolic. I was pissed off because of how true it was to the housing market crash and eventual stock market crash of 2008, a mere 8 years back in our lifetime.
And that's the sign of a well-crafted film, when it takes its subject matter, spreads it across your lap, and traces everything out for your understanding of the second most immeasurable economic crisis since the Great Depression.
