Review of The Big Short (2015) by Steve S — 10 Apr 2016
Very good. I mean, I knew I wasn't going to be able to know all the terms, or maybe even the characters, but everything is so well acted, I want to keep watching. And you know what? It has a disaster movie feeling to it, probably because, well, it IS a disaster movie.
The events are a manmade disaster, not a natural one (earthquake, volcano, storm). This movie also parallels my theory that everyone in the business world--and maybe in the entire working world--is trying to fuck over everyone else.
It shows why capitalism is flawed, and why there needs to be regulation.
