Review of The Big Short (2015) by James C — 27 Jun 2016
The film shows what can happen when money is placed above morality. It's ultimately a morality tale. There are no heroes here. The government should have stopped anybody from profiting in this way.
But that's the "free market" according to some. Very well -acted. I could relate to the film, because I predicted this would happen in the late 90's but no one listened to me either.
Film shows on a technical level what happens when the private sector sells homes to people who cannot afford them, & the government does not properly regulate the same system that in some scenarios it's ultimately underwriting.
Some individuals do not realize either out of ignorance or other reasons how close the US came to another Great Depression because of a few very greedy people with a lot of money. Personally, I think this may have been a better film than Wall Street 2.
