Review of The Big Short (2015) by Matthew F. J — 25 Sep 2016
This is exactly the kind of films I could watch over and over and over. This film is exceptional, so well crafted, put together, with so many elements all mixed together, it's almost an incredible achievement of art.
From thriller, to documentary, to slapstick, to drama, this film flirts with every genre, makes fun of everything while seriously striking the spots that hurt to reveal masterfully the extend of the disaster this financial crisis has created inside a country that has lost complete touch with reality and live on a total different reality, the wall street one.
The cast is stellar, every actor is incredible and nails it perfectly. Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling have a great alchemy on screen, no wonder they work so often together. Everyone is great and everything about or in this film is amazing in my opinion.
I loved every moment of this bitterly tasting movie clearly explaining to us that our system is broken and disconnected but , oh well the government will bail the bank out, thus once again sinking a little deeper the state of poverty in which millions are living while a few drink in crystal glaces.
