Review of The Big Short (2015) by Josh F — 26 Apr 2016
An entertaining yet informative film about the crash of the housing market. I was expecting to see a lot of screen time from Christian Bale and Brad Pitt, but this is mostly Carell and Gosling's show. Carell once again proves he can do more than comedy, just like he did with Foxcatcher. This movie isn't necessarily for everyone considering how complicated it becomes with its facts and information. But when it gets too complicated, the film has very clever ways of helping the audience to understand more of what is going on.
Grade: B+.
