Review of The Big Country (1958) by Gino C — 31 Jan 2009
My all time favorite western, due in large part to Jerome Moross' supreme musical score but also to its excellent cast and some classic dialogue. It also has a dead-on anti-Cold War message coming from liberals like Gregory Peck, who had dignity and intelligence-- A film that exemplifies all that was right with Hollywood of yore.
