Review of The Big Chill (1983) by Joanna H — 21 Apr 2006
I hated this movie when I was a kid. I couldn't understand the fun in a movie that was made up of nothing but talking. Go figure that now I love Woody Allen films. This movie has the best soundtrack ever! I really liked William Hurt in this movie! I don't know who the supposed "big shot" movie guy was in this film, but I didn't really like him (his character was underdeveloped and wishy-washy).
Jeff Goldblum is great though. I thought this was very funny/interesting. My mom was giving me the run down on everything that had to do with the seventies. This is definitly a movie from her time period.
It's interesting. Watch it with someone older, 'cause they really appreciate it.
