Review of The Big Chill (1983) by Eric L — 04 Aug 2009
I'm so bored with this movie already. I love when old friends get back together and rediscover the only happy times they had in life, even though thinking twice about it is really depressing. Anyway it just keeps going on and on and nothing really happens.
I hate to be yet another testament to the ADHD generation, but I just lost interest in finishing this movie. They're just sitting and talking, like another BS episode of Friends but with even more sitting and talking.
Don't get me wrong. I'm glad to be watching ONE movie that doesn't have an explosion chasing a man who managed to leap all the way down a hallway and out of a conveniently placed window. Still I can't help being reminded of student films where there's a great popular song every 30 seconds.
It just makes the movie seem even way longer and less original.
