Review of The Big Chill (1983) by Mandy L — 10 Jan 2010
"The Big Chill"...The title makes the movie. What goes unsaid is understood. The mindsets of the very average characters make sense. Throughout this film, in sentences and moments and nights, imagine that the characters are undergoing creeping realizations that make them shiver invisibly--realizations of lost love, morality, the awkwardness they feel in failing friendships, and the definite demise of their youthful imaginings, to name a few.
I don't find the movie very memorable. It may be especially meaningful to people from that generation.
