Review of The Big Chill (1983) by Jaret M — 12 Jan 2015
An affecting character drama about loss and how our formative friendships hold up to time and the erosive qualities of life's hardships. An incredible ensemble, with standout performances from Hurt and Berenger, and a clever script make up for the films erratic narrative and occasionally clumsy pacing.
All-in-all, the film truly does capture its central themes and also sports one of the all-time great film soundtracks.
