They got a good cast together to make this film, but it's all for naught. The actors are mostly naturally charming, including Foster, who has good screen-presence even if her career, like this film, never went anywhere.
I typically like Leonard adaptations, as it's hard to screw up his dialog, but this one just comes off flat. A dull and forgettable viewing experience.
