Review of The Big Blue (1988) by Dilip B — 12 Mar 2010
A beautifully shot film with a sad and poingnant tone. It's a really unique and I remember it with a greater fondness than I felt it immediately after watching it. this is down to Besson's depiction of the central characters relationship with the sea.
He manages to communicate a true passion for being in the water. Deep blue is not only a title but an apt description.
