Review of The Big Blue (1988) by Alexander W — 17 Jul 2013
I think the story has depth that is not recognized by many (critics) - the connection between man and the ocean where evolution originated from, the fear yet beauty of the sea, the power of rivalry and friendship. It is compelling to see how romantic love has trouble dominating over other passions.
Sure it's melodramatic and overlong, but I was never bored once.
