Review of The BFG (2016) by Cbeetle R — 09 Apr 2017
This movie had the potential to be great but was hindered by a weak plot. For being a two hour movie it felt long and continued to drag with no climax ever occurring. The acting was great and the characters were interesting but they suffered from the lack of quality script.
The best part of the movie was the well polished and real life-looking CGI. It was certainly a world you wanted to explore. I yearned for more and the Big moment to occur but it never came. It fell short of capturing my movie-loving heart.
Overall the movie was still decent and worth the visit. I could have done without the whole Queen scene as well. Luckily, it's a Disney movie and directed by Spielberg so it should make its millions.
