Review of The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) by Drew C — 19 Jun 2007
One of the most emotionally profound films I've ever seen. A realistic and heart-wrenching look at three soldiers coming back from World War II and how it affects their lives and the lives of their families.
Fredric March gives a fantastic performance as the family man with a drinking problem and Merna Loy is great as his wife. Harold Russell, the actual vet, without arms, is just amazing.
