A sentimental film about the lives of 3 soldiers after the Second World War. The film explores the difficulty - for the soldier and their family - of adjusting to the soldier's glorious, yet dubious return from war, and the challenge that they face in finding normalcy after the soldier's haunting experiences.
Homer was a great character.
