Endearingly dramatic, 'Best Years of Our Lives' tells a heartwarming tale of three WWII veterans readjusting to civilian life and the romances there within. Wyler illustrates the troubling shifts in social rank and privilege from war to suburbia, particularly through Frederic March's touching portrayal of the low-ranked infantryman returning to a penthouse and a large salary.
In addition, the innovative use of deep focus makes this touching drama a must-see for any classic Hollywood fan.
