Review of The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) by Ilsa L — 02 Mar 2013
One just could not imagine how sincere and delicate approach on the subject, difficulties of war veterans returning to their previous 'normal' life, unless watching this film. A complete picture on the sociology-psychological life at the end of WWII.
And the most surprising part this one is made in those commercial golden era Hollywood days. No excessive melodrama or over-optimism is shown for a single moment. Very realistic approach with inventive techniques and first class performances.
