Review of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2012) by Kimberly B — 10 Jan 2013
Warning: sugary syrupy story may cause tooth decay. And nausea. Also contains pellets of indigestible cliches which pose a choking hazard. Despite these problems, however, overall taste is better than expected; can't decide if it is despite or because of the high-quality acting ingredients (although though most are past their expiration date).
Could be good for an afternoon high-carb, low-nutrient snack, or for consumption on an airplane. Be prepared to roll eyes many times, so limber up. Some chuckles & tears might result if you are willing to give into the experience, but probably the experience is best left on the shelf .
. . unless you have a taste for saccharine things with tooth-breaking chunks of stereotypes.
