Review of The Bélier Family (2014) by Christian S — 09 May 2015

Very nice story about a sweet and slightly crazy family and a daughter who wants a singing career. It is listed as a comedy but I lauged out loud only once. I was not very impressed with the lead girl, Louane, who competed in The Voice in 2012.

To me obviously not an experience actress. I can't put my finger on it but it lacked something. Very sweet and touching song at the end (Je Vole)! Also, I found it a little strange that a whole family is so dependent on one person to communicate with the outside world.

I would think that they would be able to lip read but I'm not deaf and I don't know any deaf people so I cannot judge on that.
