Review of The Bélier Family (2014) by Chloe C — 01 Jan 2016
What a great movie. This film touches on family, overcoming disability, the pain and heartache that adolescence can bring set in the charming setting of the French countryside. There are rich and varied characters that have both humour and believable depth to each of them.
One of my favourite scenes ,that happens early in the film, is where the daughter has to "translate" for her deaf parents during a sensitive medical consultation. It is an uplifting Movie of the type that the French do so well.
If you enjoyed The Intouchables, you will love this film!
