Review of The Beguiled (2017) by Seraphine H — 04 Jul 2017
Coppola brings a wonderfully delicate hand to this psychological thriller. Every character is equal parts likeable and unlikeable and you aren't sure who to route for in the end. There are quiet scenes and shots repeated that you know are signiificant but Coppola allows you to determine on your own.
The film is shot beautifully and the screenplay is delicate and intentional.
