Review of The Beguiled (2017) by Alexandre B — 03 Jul 2018

I can't even begin to describe how bad this movie was. Let's begin with the lighting. Half of the movie was simply moving shadows and silhouettes. It was dark. I understand trying to use lighting to create a macabre feeling, but can we get macabre AND visible? So we can actually see the story, please? And the plot just didn't go deep enough.

I must admit that I enjoyed it when that man's leg was cut off. Satisfaction can come from even the worst of movies. I have no respect for men who try to shirk their duties and live off of women while playing with their emotions.

Still an awful movie, though.
