Review of The Beguiled (1971) by Emma P — 08 Jun 2008

I came across this film channel surfing at 1am one night - I ended up glued to it til the end. It's just bloody brilliant, and it pisses me off no one's ever heard of it! Clint Eastwood proves he's more than a man with no name, playing a morally questionable soldier who ends up being nursed back to health in a girl's boarding school (hey it could happen to anyone!).

But the ladies aren't quite as pious as they seem... an excellent, sexually charged, southern gothic drama with a glorious sting in its tale. Seek this out!
