Review of The Bedford Incident (1965) by Jeff Z — 19 Jul 2011
Frustrating anti-nuke movie in the same vein as "Fail-Safe", "Dr. Strangelove" and "On the Beach" but not as good. The film looks great and Widmark and Poitier are terrific actors but the script is pedestrian (and often makes little sense) and goes nowhere before it clumbsily shows the danger of nuclear weapons.
Nice to see Wally Cox in a small role while Martin Balsam has almost nothing to do.
