Review of The Beaver (2011) by Leslie R — 21 Oct 2011
An admittedly glamorized look at severe depression (mental illness?), but that's not all that makes it so watchable. It will certainly make you think about a number of things beyond the pretty pictures of life.
Hats off to Jodie Foster for lifting this above what many directors might have reduced it to. And like him or not, Mel Gibson certainly redeems himself as an actor.
