Truly bizarre yet not so far from home. Great performances from Mel Gibson, Jodie Foster, Anton Yelchin, and Jennifer Lawrence. Gibson is starting to make a new career for himself portraying mentally unstable people and rightfully so.
That said, he does a fine job with the role. The film pulls you emotionally in all directions, but never pulls that one heartstring that changes you. The film is worth watching though it is not as impactful as it could have been.
