Review of The Beach (2000) by Carlos R — 28 Apr 2010
This is one of my favorite films ever.
First of all, I'm a huge Leonardo fan. I think he is our generation's De Niro.
The soundtrack to this film is fabulous, and I think it plays a big part in why I like it so much. It has Moby, Underworld and Blur and they are all used in ways that definitely enhance the film.
It has a great storyline (though it does get a little weird when it turns into a video game. I didn't like that.).
I also can't hardly look at Tilda Swinton. I don't what it is about her.
The movie is visually stimulating also, and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
