Directed by Danny Boyle and based on the 1996 novel of the same name by Alex Garland, which was adapted for the film by John Hodge. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and features Tilda Swinton, Robert Carlyle, Virginie Ledoyen and Guillaume Canet.
It was filmed on the Thai island Koh Phi Phi.Despite the exotic and exquisit cinematography, th e beautiful Virginie Ledoyen and the extreme Danny Boyle directing, this is a silly movie made upon a silly story.
The off speach of Di Caprio is horrible as he sounds like a child narrating a bed time story.Tilda Swinton performance is poor .The geniality of Boyle make a strike out of the spot on this.
