Review of The Beach (2000) by Ryan B — 20 Feb 2010
Danny Boyle is an amazing director, and he has given us many gems, but this is not one of them. It was beautifully shot and the acting wasn't bad. Hell, there was even a time or two when I was actually quite intrigued by the story, but it all fell apart somewhere down the line.
The video game scene was very odd. I bet there's more to this movie than meets the eye, but I don't get it. A very forgettable film, to say the least.
