Superb book, film not so well executed. I probably read this book faster and with more attention than almost any other, it gripped me. But I got bored and frustrated with the way the film deal with important psychological details of the situation with such 'at arms length' distance.
Pretty though, but does not even function as an acknowledged companion to the book.
