Review of The Beach (2000) by Kev Ä — 17 Aug 2010
Danny Boyle's The Beach based on Alex Garland's novel, was a complete make-over in comparison to the novel. While the movie itself is beautiful in so many ways of the lush beauty of the islands in Thailand, the story itself is somewhat questionable that is filled with some flaws that make this movie a little predictable and not suspenseful.
Still, the movie can be descriptive and yet haunting. Leonardo DiCaprio isn't the best of yet in this film and for director Danny Boyle, its probably the least best in his career. An alright movie.
