Not Danny Boyle's best but not that bad either.... The story is thrilling, the natural human longing for paradise and escaping feels real and intense... I developped a good connection to the main character, but yes, this film has too many Hollywood moments to work the way it should.
I loved the pop culture moments tho... In the end I forgive Danny Boyle because he did so many great films, and by all means, The Beach is not that awful...
