Review of The Beach (2000) by Lauren W — 16 Feb 2014

I can honestly say the the beach is one of my favorite movies. Though I am usually warey of using the word "perfection" as perfection is something relative to opinion and cannot be mesured by units or degrees I would like to use it here.

I'm not quite sure what it is exactly that draws me to this film, perhaps it is the flawed characters that fill it's universe or bagpacker in me but I can say with absolute certainty that this is one of my all time favorite films.

Clearly it has divided critics but I would not let that ruin the experience for you. Watch it for yourself and form your own opinion. Be it that of the critics or that of myself, it is a film that demands to be seen.
