Review of The Bay (2012) by Jesse Z — 14 Jul 2013
Strangely enough, this was the first found footage horror movie I've actually seen that's employed the "footage" into its plot, adding an extra level of depth to it. Because the found footage genre is becoming pretty stagnant these days, The Bay encouraged me to not give up on the medium with it's isopod-gutting-humans-alive based horror.
The story and acting are trying to be like a documentary, and it pulls it off pretty well with some really raw and visceral film making.
