Review of The Bay (2012) by Brian D — 17 Jul 2013
Intelligent, well made, horror-thriller directed by (and story by) of all people, Barry Levinson. Technically, a found footage film but this film pastes together many different cameras from many different sources (like a news crews footage, a police dashboard cam, etc) and makes them into a faux documentary.
Very engaging and creepy with an environmental subtext too for those who appreciate that kind of thing. Has a Stephen King feel to the proceedings and it works very well for Levinson. Recommended.
