So this was a great Batman movie. Stylistically 10/10. The actors were great to excellent. The plot made sense. The 3 hrs passed quickly. But ultimately I did not enjoy this batman movie. There is a glimmer of positive inspiration in this film, and that's it.
The bad guys are bad. The good guys are mostly bad. Most people are just bad. It is the most nihilistic batman anything I've ever seen. Its compared to films like Se7en or Saw and with good reason. Not a good time for the kids despite the PG rating.
Not an easygoing, or fun film. Fantastic film. Just not a good time.
