Review of The Basketball Diaries (1995) by Chéri Elaine P — 10 Aug 2011
Leonardo Dicaprio proves himself, at a young age, as a versatile, committed, talented actor. The story itself is painful and uncomfortable to watch and frustrating at times, but maybe that makes it a good story to tell.
I just watched it because Leo is my favorite actor of all time, and I realized I hadn't seen this one. To me, for his performance alone, the movie is worth watching. Aside from that, not too much to really like.
