Review of The Barbarian and the Geisha (1958) by Clay B — 07 Nov 2010
The is literally the only John Wayne film truly love. Its a wonderful ride through japanese culture at the end of their isolation. Our two cultures clash in the form of a love that can never be, and a country (Japan) that wishes (for preservation of its traditions) to pretend its the only land in existence.
beautiful imagery, & cinematography. Loved it.
