Review of The Bank Dick (1940) by David F — 17 May 2010
Somewhat, dare I say it, overrated comedy with WC Fields as a chap who, through wild circumstances apprehends some criminals and, because of the bank's gratitude, accepts a position as the bank's officer.
Plenty of shenanigans erupt with the bank examiner, the family, the bar etc. Actually, the script IS pretty wild, and the names are awfully goofy, I just don't get WC Fields I guess.
