Review of The Bang Bang Gang (1970) by David S — 24 Aug 2010
Something along the lines of 'Pulp Fiction' or 'In Bruges' but keeping it even lighter hearted as a black comedy. This made me chuckle a number of times and it's endeared me even more to the roles that Robert Downey Jr. plays. I believe some would complain that it's all just to similar to Sherlock Holmes and Tony Stark, but I disagree. In this, he's rarely in control, in fact he's a bit of a loser with a quick tongue.
I thought it would be a lot more trashy, but all credit to director and writer for keeping the solidity and genuine movie making skill involved. It's a novel idea and it works for me.
